Podcasting

I have been producing a wide variety of podcasts and following the world of podcasting since February of 2005.

My Podcasting Philosophy

Podcasting is about three things: Media, Passion and Community. Just about anyone can create portable audio or video that they can share with the world. And just about anyone with a computer and an internet connection can consume that media. People are creating media that reflects their passions and audiences are seeking out media for the same reasons. The best podcasters are creating vibrant communities around their media and extending conversations and relationships far beyond what we could have imagined before the podcasting movement started.

Podcasting Projects

Here is a list of some of the podcasts I've produced for either personal or business purposes.

The New York Minute Show - A podcast guide to New York City with segments produced in audio and video format. This show is one of the early travel podcasts and the longest running New York City travel podcast. The show has been recognized with front page exposure on iTunes and has appeared as one of the top fifty podcasts on iTunes.

Amazin Moments - An audio podcast about my favorite pro baseball team, The New York Mets.

Social Media Lessons - An educational podcast in video format. I produce video screencasts that show others how to use a variety of social media tools.

Flow: Music Liberated! - A New York City focused music podcasting site. Video podcasts of independent musicians performing live at New York City venues. Accompanying audio podcasts of the live performances.

Alley Cuts - My first music oriented podcast. Strictly audio of tracks from independent musicians of a variety of genres. Most of the artists were from the New York City area. Alley Cuts was highly regarded by many independent artists who were afforded their first exposure in the new medium. Shows are still replayed on San Francisco based KYOU Radio.

Podsafe Music Page - A stream of individual MP3 tracks from independent artists. An early resource for music podcasters to find artists who wanted their music played in podcasts.

Welcome To The Beehive - A podcast version of my business book that also included material and advice not contained in the book itself. The audio version of the book is still available on the book website.
